OnDemand | Future-Proofing Your Data and Communications Networks to Meet Federal Quantum-Resistant Mandates and Whatever Threat Awaits

In a series of Executive Orders, National Security Memorandums (NSM-8), a government-wide push to embrace zero-trust architecture, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) project to finalize Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) standards, advanced quantum security methods are beginning to emerge as a preferred strategy for protecting the security of the nation, its citizenry, and the critical infrastructure we rely on daily.

But adoption challenges and planning requirements exist. The NSM-8 directive instructs federal agencies to use quantum-resistant algorithms within the next 180-days (July 2022). Since NIST has not yet approved public-key algorithms that provide quantum safety, federal agencies must instead look to encryption solutions that meet the NSA protocol for pre-shared keys.

Join Eddy Zervigon, CEO of Quantum Xchange and Gregory Garrett, Vice President of Cybersecurity at Peraton as they discuss best agency practices on how to better protect federal networks and the nation’s critical data from existing cyber-attacks and future quantum intrusion.
