Rethinking Security in the Age of DevSecOpsDavid Meltzer and Lamar Bailey of Tripwire Share Practical Tips
Security needs to keep pace with the application development life cycle to avoid becoming a roadblock, and automation can play an important role, according to David Meltzer and Lamar Bailey of Tripwire.
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2019 in San Francisco, Meltzer and Bailey discuss:
- Challenges as DevSecOps comes of age;
- Common pain points;
- Recommendations and predictions.
Meltzer joined Tripwire in 2013 as CTO after serving as CTO at Sonicity, Cambia Security and nCircle. Today, he's responsible for driving Tripwire's product strategy.
Bailey, senior director of security, is responsible for leading Tripwire's vulnerability and exposures research team, which comprises security engineers and researchers who look for the latest public and private vulnerabilities, then write detection algorithms based on a propriety OS, application and threat fingerprinting techniques for inclusion in Tripwire's commercial vulnerability management products.
