Profiles in Leadership: Gary HayslipVeteran CISO Blazes New Trails in Mentoring, Hiring and Stress Management
Gary Hayslip prides himself on being a mentor to up-and-coming cyber pros. But he also takes leadership roles in two causes that don't get nearly as much attention: stress management and building a more neurodiverse workforce.
In a video interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard’s ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Hayslip discusses:
- His current roles and responsibilities at SoftBank Investment Advisers;
- His top career accomplishments;
- The value of building a more neurodiverse workforce and the imperative to get a better handle on stress management.
Hayslip, who has over 20 years of IT, cybersecurity and risk management experience, is global CISO at SoftBank Investment Advisers. He recently co-authored "The CISO Desk Reference Guide: A Practical Guide for CISOs." Hayslip previously served in IT roles with the U.S. Navy, the city of San Diego and Webroot.
