Profiles in Leadership: Andrea SzeilerTranscom’s Global CISO Is Hungry for 'the Challenge'
One consistent theme in Andrea Szeiler's career: She’s always been drawn to "the challenge." And in her roles as global CISO for Transcom, the Swedish outsourcing firm, and as president of Hungary's Women in IT Security group, or WITSEC, she's currently tackling some meaningful ones.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Szeiler discusses:
- How "the challenge" has inspired her career;
- The lure of global leadership;
- Her ongoing effort to provide more leadership opportunities for women.
Szeiler has been in the IT field since 1992. She started her career as a computer programmer and moved to IT environment management in 2000 and then to the security and compliance fields. She spent 17 years in the transaction processing field and briefly served as a security consultant at a solution provider. Now she is the global CISO of Transcom. She is a founding member of WITSEC and a board member of ISACA Hungarian Chapter and (ISC)2 Hungarian Chapter.
