ISMG Announces New Look, Enhanced Features for Global Media SitesISMG Announces New Look, Enhanced Features for Global Media Sites
Information Security Media Group, publisher of DataBreachToday and BankInfoSecurity, as well as more than two-dozen other international media sites, announces the debut of a new responsive design that enhances the features and functionalities of these multimedia resources.
This re-design has gone through months of development and testing and is designed to:
- Showcase ISMG's news, interviews, education and research no matter how they are accessed, via every form factor - desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
- Feature the most urgent topics and content items via a new "Trending" bar atop the sites.
- Present exclusive interviews with industry thought-leaders in an enhanced "Interviews" section that presents both audio and text versions - however viewers prefer to experience these talks.
- Promote greater engagement with the audience via social media, and viewer comments, both of which are more prominent in the new design.
These new, responsive features result from ISMG's own growth into new international markets, where mobile devices are the dominant form factors with which audience members choose to experience content.
"We will soon reach the point where 50 percent of our traffic originates from outside the U.S. and North America," said Mike D'Agostino, ISMG's General Manager. "In developing countries especially, we see much higher percentages of our traffic originating from mobile devices with smaller and more varied screen sizes. This, coupled with the increasing fragmentation of devices and screen sizes in the U.S., has compelled us to upgrade our user interfaces."
In the past year, ISMG had opened new offices, media sites and live events in Europe and Asia, and further expansion is projected in the year ahead.
"This marks yet another milestone in ISMG's growth as we continue to position ourselves as the largest, most content-rich network focused exclusively on IT/information security and risk management topics," added D'Agostino.
