Digital Defense and Veracode CTOs to Present Breakthrough Security Risk Assessment Offering at RSA
Digital Defense and Veracode CTOs to Present Breakthrough Security Risk Assessment Offering at RSADigital Defense, Inc. (DDI) Executive Vice President and CTO Gordon MacKay and Chris Wysopal, Veracode Founder and CTO, have been selected to speak at the upcoming RSA conference on Wednesday, February 27th at 1 p.m. The session, SAST, DAST and Vulnerability Assessments, 1+1+1 = 4, will demonstrate how the integration between DDI and Veracode’s respective cloud-based platforms delivers breakthrough Security Risk Assessment solutions.
The session will demonstrate that by eliminating silos and bringing in assessment findings from each of these technologies, organizations will be able to achieve a greater level of enterprise security risk reduction than they would if each technology were assessed separately.
Attendees will receive an overview of how the union delivers enhanced security by:
- Providing an infrastructure map that allows insight into where application code flaws, which could introduce potential vulnerabilities, reside on external and internal hosts
- Allowing a deeper analysis of web-based applications
- Enabling comprehensive management of host vulnerabilities and reconciliation of results over time, adding tremendous efficiencies, both financial and in labor resources
“Understanding a holistic view of your security risk posture has been a considerable hurdle for many enterprises,” says Chris Wysopal, Co-Founder, CTO and CISO of Veracode, Inc. “As SaaS providers Digital Defense and Veracode are able to exchange information behind the scenes in the cloud so that our customers are receiving seamlessly combined scan results. We are excited to showcase what enterprises can benefit from when they get a complete picture of network and application security.”
MacKay adds, “RSA is a premier venue for unveiling the latest and greatest information security technology and innovation. We are pleased to be able to present a unique and valuable approach to holistically evaluate vulnerabilities within an organization and look forward to an interactive discussion with RSA attendees.”
In addition to the February 27th session, MacKay will present at Veracode’s “Wicked Smart Security” sessions:
