Ori Eisen, founder and CEO of Trusona, explains that the firm's new app, which has not yet been tested in an election, is designed to enable voters to use a smartphone to scan driver's licenses as an essential security step.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Eisen discusses:

  • How the new mobile voting app would work;
  • How identification can be confirmed by taking a snapshot of the driver's license;
  • How the app integrates with a state's Department of Motor Vehicles to confirm a voter's identity.

Before launching Trusona, Eisen founded 41st Parameter, an online fraud prevention and detection solution for financial institutions and e-commerce that was acquired by Experian in 2013. He also formerly served as the worldwide fraud director for American Express, focusing on internet and counterfeit fraud.
