How Contextual Data on Domains Helps Combat Online AttacksMichael Jones of Domain Tools on Scoring Threats, Blocking Phishing Attacks
Studying domain ownership gives organizations "contextual data around domains that may be attacking them," says Michael Jones of Domain Tools.
In a video interview at the recent Infosecurity Europe conference in London, Jones discusses:
- Using domain ownership data to score threats, evaluate domains and combat phishing attacks;
- The accuracy of domain registration details;
- Questions about how ICANN will maintain the WHOIS internet domain directory with the EU General Data Protection Regulation now being enforced.
Jones, vice president of products at Domain Tools, previously served as head of product management for OpenDNS, which is now part of Cisco, and had also served in a variety of roles at Cisco, McAfee and Intel.
