BeyondTrust CEO on Merging Privileged, Infrastructure Access
Janine Seebeck on BeyondTrust's Top Bets Around Security Remote Access, OT SecurityBeyondTrust has focused on locking down the infrastructure that privileged users access to improve their security posture and lower administrative overhead, said CEO Janine Seebeck.

The Atlanta-based identity vendor has helped privileged users access MSP customer environments without complicated firewall rules or IT red tape to make them more efficient, according to Seebeck. She said BeyondTrust has invested in its secure remote access as well as the operational technology space to help customers satisfy zero trust frameworks and safeguard machine and human identities (see: Identity Vendor BeyondTrust Promotes Janine Seebeck to CEO).
"I don't think we're moving away from who we are," Seebeck said. "We're deeply rooted in trying to think about solving the most complex problems where we actually think the attackers are going to cause the most damage, which is your privileged users."

Seebeck is responsible for BeyondTrust’s long-term market and product strategy and leads the company’s day-to-day operations. She joined the company in 2016 as CFO and expanded her role in 2020 to COO as well. Prior to becoming CEO in April 2022, Seebeck was responsible for the company’s financial, operational, accounting, IT and strategic planning functions. She has more than 25 years of senior finance and operations experience, most recently serving as CFO, SVP and treasurer of Agilysys, a hospitality software leader. Seebeck also served as a senior associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
