Reducing Cyber-Attack Response Times

CSG Invotas' Nguyen on Responding to Threats
Paul Nguyen
As cyber-attacks become more common, organizations must devise new ways to shorten response times and lessen the impact, says Paul Nguyen of CSG Invotas.

"What we have realized is that the complexity of the environment, as well as the volume [of attacks], leads to longer response times, taking days, weeks and sometimes months to get to the issue," Nguyen says. "We are trying to reduce it to seconds or minutes."

In an interview at Infosecurity Europe 2014, Nguyen discusses:

  • How to move to automated breach detection;
  • How enterprises can respond faster and more efficiently to breaches; and
  • Using automation to reduce response times to security incidents that target remote users.

Nguyen is president of global security solutions at CSG Invotas. In this role, he brings extensive experience as a cybersecurity expert for the federal government and the commercial sector - including several Fortune 100 companies. Nguyen joined CSG in 2013 after serving as vice president for cyber solutions at Knowledge Consulting Group.
