Federal government agencies face unique cybersecurity risks, and as a result they often place tight restrictions on mobile devices in the workplace. Michael Campbell of Privoro says it's time to loosen these restrictions because they are negatively impacting missions, recruitment and retention.
"There are consequences of cutting back or restricting the use of modern mobile technologies," says Campbell, GM of Privoro Government Solutions. "You really go back - you're operating like a 1980s organization." And as a result, he says, it is harder for agencies to attract and keep younger talent, as well as keep up with the pace of modern business.
In an interview about empowering the mobile federal workforce, Campbell discusses:

Campbell leads Privoro's government and federal business. Prior to joining Privoro, Michael spent more than eight years with Cisco helping create and run the company's largest government partnerships. Previously, he served as an active-duty Army signal officer for 13 years with deployments in over 20 countries, including Afghanistan and Iraq. Michael also served as Chief of Staff for the Army's Chief Information Officer (CIO), helped author the vision and strategy for the Army's Global Network Enterprise Construct (GNEC) and served as a Military Legislative Assistant for Senator Conrad Burns from Montana.
