Yossi Appleboum is running security firm Sepio Systems in Israel while the Israel-Hamas war is going on. "It's a challenging time," he said, "but failure does not exist" - in business or in war.

In this episode of CyberEd.io's podcast series "Cybersecurity Insights," Appleboum discussed:

  • The international support for Israel and how his employees are supporting the war effort;
  • How the war is affecting Sepio Systems' performance;
  • How generative AI can be "not a tool but a member of your team."

Appleboum has more than two decades of experience in security, networking, computer science and control systems. In the Israeli Army Intelligence Corps' Unit 8200 in the early 1990s, he served as team leader and chief architect of critical infrastructure network monitoring and security systems. In 1998, he co-founded WebSilicon, where he served as vice president and later as chief technology officer. After the company was acquired by Magal in 2013, he served as the CTO for cybersecurity at Senstar Inc., Magal's North American division.
