For instance, it's not uncommon for SMB entities to be asked assessment questions about the type of encryption they use, and often the CEOs of these business have little insight into how to answer - even when their companies are using robust encryption.
Often, the CEOs "don't know what encryption is," or how to attest to what they're using, she said, and this knowledge gap can be a big barrier to getting insurance and to competing for business.
