The #1 Cybersecurity Strategy - And Why to Use It in 2023
Check Point CSO Itai Greenberg on Why CISOs Need a Unified Security ApproachThe increase in attack vectors and new threats has prompted companies to invest heavily in cybersecurity tools. But CISOs struggle with managing siloed products that do not integrate with each other. Consolidation of security architecture is a priority for CISOs, said Check Point's Itai Greenberg.
Skilled attackers are using these gaps in security to exploit even the slightest of vulnerabilities across a wide attack surface, said Greenberg, chief strategy officer at Check Point.
"CISOs are dealing too much with the procurement process instead of the use process," he said. "Reduce the number of vendors, reduce the amount of complexity and leverage more of what you acquired. Be more secure."
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2023, Greenberg discusses:
- How consolidation can play a significant role in enhancing cyber resiliency and simplifying security operations;
- Challenges faced by organizations due to the rapid migration to cloud platforms;
- Making automation more adaptive to autonomously remedy security issues.
