Gamification in cybersecurity can bring great potential business value to many organizations, but security teams need to dispel some misconceptions. In the first place, it’s not a game, said Joe Carson, chief security scientist and advisory CISO at Delinea.
"When we talk about hacking gamification in general, organizations often have the misconception about employees taking time away from their work, or employees doing something that is not adding value back to the business," he said. "We need to focus on training employees and reducing the time it takes from getting new talent into the business and getting them up to speed in the technology that the business uses. We have to find ways for people to reskill quickly."
