Customer identity and access management - CIAM - has taken off over the past year. But too many of the initiatives are unnecessarily limited in scale due to CIAM solution capabilities, says Dennis McDermott of OpenText. He shares key CIAM components and milestones.

McDermott joined OpenText in 2019 to lead product marketing for its identity and access management offering. He has been in the IAM space for 17 years and was part of the initial Identity as a Service movement, helping to establish one of the first managed services for SaaS-based IAM, which is now called IDaaS.
