Shyam Somani is the Global Head of Insurance Solutions at Appian. In this role, he is responsible for Appian Insurance solutions including the product and go-to-market strategy, product engineering, partnerships and launch of new insurance solutions. He has extensive experience in the P&C and L&A insurance industry with a deep focus on the domain. His experience spans various customer-facing roles in product management, solutions consulting, and program management. Successfully built and delivered various insurance platforms from the ground up in areas of new submissions, underwriting, first notice of loss, and claims management. These solutions have featured as a leader/dominant player in the analyst's report. He has received an MBA degree from IBS, Hyderabad (India), and earned these industry certifications – CPCU, AINS, ALMI, AIC.
