It also provides OTS’s FY 2006 approved budget and strategies. Although OTS receives no appropriated funds from Congress, OTS provided this budget information to the Department of the Treasury for inclusion in the Justification for Appropriations and Performance Plans that Treasury submitted to Congress on February 6, 2006. OTS Strategic Priorities OTS’s FY 2006 budget totals $215.5 million. The budget directly supports OTS’s strategic and performance goals that provide for proactive supervision of the industry, reduced regulatory burden and improved credit availability. The FY 2006 budget enables OTS to continue tailoring supervisory examinations to the risk profile of the institutions, while effectively allocating resources to oversee and assess the safety and soundness and consumer compliance record of the thrift industry. |
